Academic Honor Societies
At Robertsdale High School, we have a number of academic honor societies to recognize prestigious student achievement.
National Honor Society (NHS)
Faculty Sponors: Jennifer Janey, Kaytee Jones, Anita Salinas
The purpose of the National Honor Society shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in our students. Major events include Campus Beautification, Shop With A Golden Bear, and a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. We also hold a yearly Tapping Program that serves as our induction ceremony.
Membership Requirements: To be invited to the NHS, students must have a 3.5 weighted GPA; provide documentation of community service performed recently; and earn the recommendation of their teachers. Students will continue to maintain that GPA and demonstrate community service throughout their membership.
NHS meets at 7:15 am once a month in October, April, and May. We also hold meetings in conjunction with our major events as members are already assembled together.
ACT Club
Students who score 25+ or 30+ on the ACT are recognized for their impressive achievement. Please look for the boards in the front of the school that recognize each student with a qualifying score. Students in the ACT Clubs also receive a certificate and a special cord for graduation. Please contact Ms. Terry Puel, tpuel@bcbe.org, for more information.
Mu-Alpha-Theta

Mu-Alpha-Theta is a math honor society which strives to keep students interested in the field of mathematics. Students must earn an A or B final average in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 in order to receive an invitation to join the organization.
Mu-Alpha-Theta meets once a month at 7:25 AM in Ms. Jones' classroom.

Rho Kappa is a social studies honor society. The purpose of Rho Kappa is to educate students on the elements of social studies and to spark an interest in pursuing these ideas. The organization also takes field trips relating to history.
Requirements: Students must receive a teacher recommendation and complete an application. Applications may be found in Dr. Weindorf's classroom.
Along with Club Day, Rho Kappa meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month before school in Dr. Weindorf's classroom.
